Strike a Pose!

So when I went to download my pictures from my camera, these were the first pictures to download. I guess the girls got a hold of the camera and took their own pictures they did a pretty good job too. They know that they are not allowed to touch the camera, but how can you get mad at them when they are so dang cute. I have no idea what they were doing, but my guess is a photo shoot and they even included their little bro in all of the fun.

Fun Times With Family!

Grandpa and Grandma Hiatt and cousin Ellie came up for the day last Saturday. It was so much fun having them up here. We enjoyed talking and playing, going to Big J's for lunch and buying a lot of cookies at the cookie factory.

Happy Valentines Day!!

We had a really fun day yesterday. The girls have been so excited to throw dad a surprise valentine party. We cleaned up the downstairs, which was a much needed chore to be done. Then we set up table and chairs, decorated and waited. The anticipation just about killed Kaitlyn, she kept telling me that dad was taking too long. We then ate a candle light pizza dinner, because hey I shouldn't have to cook on Valentines day right? We then went on a treasure hunt. The kids absolutly loved it. In the treasure dad found a new wedding band. He lost his wedding ring about 4 months ago. I thought as soon as I bought a new one we would find the old one so hopefully it will work, if not at least he has a ring now.

Trying to wait patiently for dad to come home.

I love it that they are best friends.

Finding the clues on the treasure hunt.

Yeah, we found the treasure!!

Valentine Tea Party!

Kaitlyn was invited to a mom/daughter Valentines Tea Party on the 12th and had a blast. Melanie and Matthew tagged along with us. We ate really yummy food. Kaitlyn especially loved the heart shaped sandwiches with heart shaped cheese. Kaitlyn had gone over the day before and make cookies for us and some other fun valentines. All in all it was a really fun tea party! The moms enjoyed chatting while the kids played.

Matthew Walking

YIPEE, Matthew is walking. At least pretty good, he still needs a lot of practice though. Here is a clip of it, sorry it is sideways. I figured out how to do it the right way at the end.

SUPERBOWL 2008

Wasn't that a great game last night. And yes we were glad that the NY Giants won. We watched it at the Johnsons and had a really fun party. The kids had a blast playing and Brad and I got to watch the game, at least most of it. Dave even made a football cake that we ate at half time.

Hair Cutting, Highchairs and PJ Parties

Ok, so the other day I was in the kitchen and I see Melanie walk out of the Family Room onto the wood with scissors in her hand and saying "Mom, I sorry I won't do it again." She had a big chunk of hair in her hand. So how do you get mad at this cute little girl, and she kept saying to over and over and over. This is the second time she has done this, luckily she hasn't really done too much damage because her hair is still growing in and so uneven. Needless to say the scissors are really high now, until Kaitlyn gets them out again of course.

Highchairs are wonderful in my book. When my kids are in them I use them to the fullest. Matthew on the other hand has started to hate his. He has figured out how to wiggle himself out of it. By the way neither of the girls figured that out. The other day he was almost on top of his tray. So maybe it is time to retire the highchair, but then I think I will lose some of my freedom. This is living proof that boys are so different from girls.

The other day I went out with some girlfriends to dinner and a movie. Brad was nice enough to watch the kids, but I think he went above and beyond this time and made it really fun for the kids. He told them that they were going to have a pajama party sleep over. He moved a couple of mattresses out on the family room floor. And the kids enjoyed, treats, popcorn and a sleep over with dad. Something I don't think they will ever forget. When I got home they were all zonked out, I turned off the tv and slept all by myself upstairs. It was heaven because I have been in either Melanies, or Kaitlyns bed sleeping with them almost everynight for the past two weeks. By the way girls we saw the new movei 27 dreeses and it was a great chick flick!!!!
