Snow Fun!
The kids have loved the snow so much this year, Matt especially! They talked me into going out and playing in it. They then talked me into trying to attempt a snowman. The snow was not the best snowman making snow. I was proud for them being persistent and trying so hard. Maybe we can get a better one the next storm!

Go UTES!!
I just have to say that Brad was pretty proud of his UTES! What an exciting game. Big thanks to Johnson's for having us over so we could watch it in style.

*2009*
We brought the new year in with my family, the Blake's. We had all of them up here. We all partied our hearts out at the Johnson household. It was a lot of fun. Again Apples to Apples was played, and alot of fun! It is a tradition with us (the hiatts) to have blowers, I usually get the kind that don't make any noise, but this year Kaitlyn and I thought it would be fun have some that made noise this year. Kaitlyn always gets to pick them out because it is her birthday on New Years Eve. It was a big hit with the kids, not so much with the adults. But it made for alot of fun and noise to bring the new year in with.
Matt
As soon as the kids all started blowing their blowers it frightened Kaitlyn and she began to get teary eyed and eventually began to cry. She is so tender hearted! I think we will got back to the no noise ones next year and that will make everyone happy.

Happy 6th Birthday Kaitlyn
She wanted to have a cousin scooby doo party. And thanks to such a great family both Brad and I are from, they all made the trek up to celebrate with her. We celebrated her birthday a day late on New Years day, so her cousins could all make it up. Let me just say that there was not a scooby doo party favor in sight. I think it is a party of the past few years, but as soon as I have a child that wants it, you can't find anything. I tried my hardest to change her mind, but she was dead set on it. We made do with what we could. decorated everything in blue and green played scooby doo games, had scooby snack pb&j. And the one scooby doo thing we actually found was the coolest retro scooby doo cake.
We have a tradition of doing a pinata on our birthdays. It all started because we always did a pinata on New Years Eve. Well Melanie just assumed that it was a birthday thing and boom we now do pinatas on all our birthdays too. Kaitlyn had to make a choice this year, because she was having her party on a different day. after much switching around she finally decided to do it for her party. She got absolutely spoiled with so many fun birthday presents. I try my hardest to make her birthday fair and equal. It is hard to have Christmas and a birthday all within one week. And our house looks like a toy heaven!!!

Girlfriends are the Greatest!
While we were down visiting our families for Christmas I was able to get together with some of my girlfriends for a baby shower. Oh how I love these girls, it was fun seeing all of these fun gals. I wish we could get together more often.
