Blake Family Reunion ~ Day 3

We started out this day with a hike to Stewart Falls. The people at Sundance say that very young kids can do this hike, so I figured I would be ok on it. I was completely wrong. This was a very hard hike for me with my blood count so low. Matt had to be carried most the way too, which I was no help in. When we reached the falls they were beautiful! We ate our picnic lunch and waded our feet in the falls for a bit, then headed back down the trail.

Blake Family Reunion ~ Day 2

This day was Sunday. We all met at Taylors church and went to church all together. Then we changed our clothes and headed up to Sundance. We all chipped in and rented this huge cabin. This cabin was luxurious! Alot nicer than my own home and it was huge. Each family had their own bedroom and the kids spread out all over the loft. There was a hot tub (which in my opinion wasn't taken care of the greatest) a pool table, entertainment center downstairs and a very nice shaded deck. We lived in luxury the next couple of days.

Blake Family Reunion ~ Day 1

We had a lot of fun being all together for our annual Blake family reunion. It was a special treat to have Garlicks come all the way from Texas. It all started at the Oquirrh Temple Open House. It was a fun experience to be at the open house with my whole family. Kaitlyn and Malanie loved the sealing room and the baptismal font. Matt kept trying to go faster and kept saying "come on guys lets go" pushing Ali in front of him most of the way. It was pretty hard for me with all the stairs we had to climb. I guess my energy isn't all the way back up yet from losing all that blood. We spent the first night at Grandma's house. This is where Jared, Dallin , and Makell taught my girls how much fun it is to get a sleeping pad and ride down grandma's stairs. Kaitlyn said "mom this is just like splash mountain." I bet they slid down those stairs for a good 45 min.

Backyard Swimming!

We finally had some warm dry days. Almost all of June was full of rain showers. We took advantage and had a backyard swimming day. Kaitlyn pretended to be a lifeguard almost the whole afternoon, and was watching and saving everyone. We all had a really fun time.

Melanie Rides a Two Wheeler!

Melanie can officailly ride her bike with no training wheels. She learned in like 5 days and caught on so good. She is so excited to be able to ride fast. We were really surprised at how fast she caught on.

Mom, do my hair!

The other day Matt came to me with a brush and the curling iron and asked me to do his hair. I told his he was a boy and we couldn't curl his hair. I then found him on the couch doing this
Good thing it wasn't plugged in. Sometimes I wonder if he is surrounded by too many girls.

Happy Fathers Day!

We had a nice relaxing fathers day here at home. Brad is a such a great dad! He plays with and has so much fun with all his kids. I am glad we have him in our lives. He is so patient with us and puts up with a lot of stuff from both me and the kids. Next year we will try and get a picture before chuch, this is the best we could get after.

A trip to the Mountains!

I have been called to be an assistant camp director for Young Womens camp. Our camp director asked me to go out to the camp site and see it. So we thought we would make it a really fun family outing. We packed the picnic and headed out. Little did we know that it would pour rain the whole time we were there. The kids still had a lot of fun even though we had to eat our picnic in the car. As soon as we left and got down the mountain it stopped raining, just our luck.

Kaitlyn Lost Her Tooth!

Well she actually has lost both of her bottom teeth. She unlike most kids did not want her teeth to follow out. She is suppose to get a retainer once her bottom teeth fell out so she has been terrified to lose them and have to get the retainer. She let the last tooth hang on forever until she was eating some garlic bread and freaked out and spit it all out to find her tooth in the mix of it all. The good news is when we went to the orthodontist he said that it looks like it might fix itself. So no retainer for now = one happy Kaitlyn. She hung onto the loose teeth so long that her permanent teeth are almost all grown in So here is a picture, of her with no more baby bottom teeth.

June + Hail = Don't mix!

We had the craziest storm for June. Hail and our streets were flooding. We had about 20 homes in our neighborhood get flooded in our neighborhood. I feel very lucky that we were ok. Kaitlyn was terrified and is officially very scared of rain/ thunder storms.
