Happy 6th Birthday Kaitlyn

New Years Eve is always a fun time for our family. Kaitlyn was born on this day. She is the best oldest child we could ask for! She is very tendered hearted and cares about everyone! What a great example she is to us and her little brother and sister.

She wanted to have a cousin scooby doo party. And thanks to such a great family both Brad and I are from, they all made the trek up to celebrate with her. We celebrated her birthday a day late on New Years day, so her cousins could all make it up. Let me just say that there was not a scooby doo party favor in sight. I think it is a party of the past few years, but as soon as I have a child that wants it, you can't find anything. I tried my hardest to change her mind, but she was dead set on it. We made do with what we could. decorated everything in blue and green played scooby doo games, had scooby snack pb&j. And the one scooby doo thing we actually found was the coolest retro scooby doo cake.

We have a tradition of doing a pinata on our birthdays. It all started because we always did a pinata on New Years Eve. Well Melanie just assumed that it was a birthday thing and boom we now do pinatas on all our birthdays too. Kaitlyn had to make a choice this year, because she was having her party on a different day. after much switching around she finally decided to do it for her party. She got absolutely spoiled with so many fun birthday presents. I try my hardest to make her birthday fair and equal. It is hard to have Christmas and a birthday all within one week. And our house looks like a toy heaven!!!

Hey neighbor! Hope you are all happy and well over there. I hope you haven't moved and I don't know it. :)
