Happy Easter!!!

Brad was so nice and let me stay down in AF for the week after conference and came back Easter weekend to get us. It was a nice break away. We had a really fun weekend. The kids were so glad to see their Dad again and I was happy to have him back too. We always go to the parks Easter egg hunt every year, but this year we broke tradition. I wasn't feeling very good so we decided to sleep in and do our own in Grandma's backyard. the kids loved it and had a lot of fun. this way I got to decide what was in the eggs. Since the girls are saving their money for Disneyland. We decided to fill some of the eggs with money. I think those were their favorite eggs. Even though it was raining we braved it and did the egg hunt in the backyard. The kids had a blast!

Matthew sat down and emptied his eggs and lined them up for the longest time!

After the hunt we got Grandmas playdough toys out and the kids used their new egg playdough to play with it they had a lot of fun! I think Jess had the most fun out of everyone and kept commenting on how soft the playdough was.

That night we colored eggs with Grandpa and Grandma and Jessica. I realize this is a horrible picture of me, but it is the only one we took. Matthew really loved it, he even died his hand green!

Kaitlyn and Melanie with the finished product. They really had so much fun!

We are so sad that Jess is going back to Texas and can't wait for her to come back next fall. We are really glad she could spend Easter weekend with us.

The next day sure enough the Easter bunny came and they got even more candy and goodies. Then we had Grandma's annual candy hunt in her living room. All the kids color brown paper bags and they all get to got and find all the candy in the living room. The older kids now hide the candy and the little ones find them. Its always a fun thing the kids look forward to each year.

All the kids waiting youngest to oldest to start the hunt!

Melanie helping her little brother find candy on his first ever Grandma Easter hunt. She is such a great sister always looking out for him.

Kaitlyn and Melanie happy about all the candy they just got!

Needless to say my kids have a lot of candy right now and I am still trying to control the portions that are being eaten each hour.
