A Book a Month!

This year one of my main resolutions I decided should be to read more. I didn't really want to make an unrealistic goal, so i decided a book a month would be great! I tried to find a book club to join, but was unsuccessful in finding one, so I guess I am on my own with this one. I thought I better write this goal down so I really do it so since I have been using this for a journal what a better place.

The book I read for January was Dave Ramsey's book "The Money Answer Book " It was a short read, but so good!!! I think I could read this one over and over and still learn something new. I love his concept of being content with what you have and not being the normal of the people by going into more debt, but rather be the abnormal person who doesn't have any debt. Anyways if you want a good short read it was wonderful! It answered any question I could think of about finances

Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely have a lot to learn about money.

Go to shelfari.com. You can find books to read and keep track of the ones you are reading. You can also discuss books with people that are reading the same, but I've never done that. I just like reading peoples reviews and such about the books, so that I can find out if I would like to read it. Jess Cook Foley invited me to join and be her friend on it.

I love to read, but don't have as much time to spend doing it as I would like- so I am always up for a good "short read." Thanks for the suggestion! I just finished reading "The Last Lecture." It is also a short, easy read but very good. I know our library has a long waiting list to check it out right now, but I think it would be worth it to buy it.
