Happy Memorial Day!

We had a really fun Memorial Day! We started the festivities on Saturday when we thought it would be fun to go out to Preston and get the hand scooped ice cream at Big J's. We decided since we were going all the way out to Preston that we would go out to Oxford to the graves of some of Brads ancestors. We really forgot how far Oxford was from Preston, a lot farther than we had remembered. When we entered Oxford it poured rain and the whole time we were there it poured even harder.

Melanie, Kaitlyn, Matt and Brad. Can you tell it is pouring rain?

This is when the rain was coming down the hardest.

We then headed down to Utah County. We started out at the Orem Cemetery, then the Provo and out to Payson last.

After leaving the Provo cemetery we met Brad's parents and Patetneet School for a picnic and to play. We then headed over to the Payson cemetery.

Matt and Melanie love to help grandma make sure the flowers have enough water.

I have so many memories of visiting cemetaries with my mom and grandma when I was young. What a great thing to do with your kids.
