Conversation with Kaitlyn!

I had to document this conversation I had with Kaitlyn the other day.

Kaitlyn: Why did our baby die mom?

Me: I don't know, why do you think?

Kaitlyn: I think maybe she couldn't breath anymore.

Me: Maybe, you know she went to live with Heavenly Father?

Kaitlyn: I could ask Heavenly Father why she died, oh ya mom we forgot to have a blessing for lunch.

Me: Why don't you bless it now then.

She then blesses the food and continues to ask that she could know why our baby died.

Kaitlyn: Mom, Heavenly Father can tell me why.

Mom: How

Kaitlyn: He answers our prayer in our hearts.


Later that night Kaitlyn was talking to Brad. She told him that Heavenly Father answered her prayer. Brad asked her what he said. Kaitlyn then tells him that while she was on the toilet Heavenly Father answered her prayer. He told her that our baby sister died because she was too small.

How I wish I could have as simple faith as my six year old.
