We always have fun when we get together with family. That is exactly what conference weekend is for us, Family Time, and a lot of uplifting messages. We were able to stop and see our brand new niece Erin on the way down to American Fork. Brad stayed in SLC to attend priesthood with his brothers and dad while I headed down to American Fork with the kids. We were so excited that Jess could join us for all the girls fun this year. Grandma, Karissa, Kelsi and Jacob babysat all the kids so us big girls could go to the deseret book ladies night. Now Mindy really wanted to get the free gift so she made sure we were there extra early, yes we were there at 5:00. They don't even start handing out the numbers until 6:00. This gave us time to shop and find the things we wanted. We had a ton of fun together. Annette and Julie were missed alot. Kaitlyn and Melanie thought the funnest part was when it was time to go to bed and Jess read them books and laid down by them. It was cute she told them the makeup story I use to tell her when she was their age!
We all got together on Sunday to eat good food and watch conference. The kids thought is was so fun that Grandpa and Grandma ate dinner at the kid table with them. We also were able to celebrate the October birthdays. Melanie loved blowing out her candles on her cupcake! Grandma shared her secret new recipe for the easiest and best cookie ever. According to her and Jess loved it too. I thought is was pretty good too. All you do is swoosh a york peppermint patty between two graham crackers.
